A shopping cart in 1:35 scale is a fine accessory in metal and resin for modern and postwar urban scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
A wire shopping cart in 1:35 scale, assembled from fine metal parts complemented by resin pieces. An object that looks utterly ordinary on a diorama, and exactly for that reason gives a scene credibility: a cart abandoned by a wall, overturned in the middle of a street or loaded with all sorts of things says more about a situation than another weapon would.
The first shopping cart appeared in 1937 in an American store in Oklahoma, where it was meant to get customers to carry more goods away. After the war it spread with self-service stores all over the world, and its wire basket has practically not changed since. In a model it suits civilian scenes, relief and evacuation scenes and urban fighting, where a shopping basket becomes a carrier for all sorts of things.
The wire mesh is the essential part and at the same time the most vulnerable one. Bend it over a straight edge or in a bending tool, slowly and in one movement, because repeated bending fatigues the metal. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue applied from the tip of a piece of wire, not straight from the bottle. Degrease the metal before painting and spray an undercoat on it; worn chrome can be suggested with a dark base coat and a light rub of graphite.
The cart is supplied as a construction kit without paints, glue and any load.
