About product

76.2 mm L-11 Barrel for the KV-1 (Very Early Version) — 1:35, Aber

A turned metal barrel in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand Aber. It is not a model but an accessory with which you replace the plastic barrel on models of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank in its very early version. The metal part has a perfectly round cross-section, a crisp muzzle and faithful proportions.

The real subject

The 76.2 mm L-11 gun was the earliest artillery armament of the first KV-1 tanks of 1940 and also appeared on early T-34s. It is recognizable by its short barrel and its distinctive muzzle end, which set it apart from the later F-32 and F-34 guns. A faithful replacement therefore helps to capture the earliest appearance of the tank exactly.

Fitting and use

  • Cut away the original plastic barrel from the model.
  • Bond the metal part with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Degrease the surface before painting and apply a metal primer.

Who it is for

  • Modelers building the very early version of the KV-1 in 1:35 scale.
  • Anyone who wants a faithful barrel.
  • Collectors who value the precision of aftermarket detail.

An accessory for upgrading a plastic model. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is a separate metal barrel, an accessory for a plastic KV-1 model.

The L-11 is the earliest, short 76.2 mm gun of the first KV-1 tanks, with a different muzzle end.

With super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic will not join metal.
