The plastic kit of the Soviet BT-2 Tank (late) in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss captures the Soviet fast wheel-cum-track tank of the early 1930s.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Hobby Boss in 1:35 scale represents the late production version of the Soviet fast tank BT-2. The model is supplied as a set of parts for one combat vehicle and offers a detailed hull as well as running gear. Go by the information on the box for the exact package contents and the number of parts.
The BT-2 was the first production type of the Soviet family of fast tanks (Bystrokhodny tank), derived from the design of the American engineer J. W. Christie. Its characteristic feature was the convertible wheel-and-track running gear, which made it possible to drive on tracks across country and on the road on large road wheels without the tracks. Its high speed and mobility made it a modern machine in the first half of the 1930s; later versions differed in armament and in partial modifications to the hull and the turret.
We recommend assembling and finishing the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, sand the joints down and treat the surface with a primer before painting. An airbrush suits a faithful appearance, followed by washes and pigments to bring out the rivets and the dust and mud on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
