Aber turned metal barrels for the Soviet T-70M light tank (early production) / Pz.Kpfw. 743(r) in 1:35 scale replace the plastic barrels with precise brass parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of a tank but a set of precise turned metal barrels from the Polish company Aber. The set contains a turned barrel for the 45 mm gun (20K) and a barrel for the 7.62 mm DT machine gun for models of the Soviet T-70M light tank of early production. The metal barrels have a faithfully drilled muzzle with no lengthwise seam, which is always left on a plastic part.
The T-70M was a Soviet light tank of the Second World War, armed with a 45 mm gun and a coaxial DT machine gun. It was built in large numbers and served for reconnaissance and infantry support. Captured examples were also used by the German army under the designation Pz.Kpfw. 743(r).
The metal barrels replace the plastic parts of the model; they seat in the socket on the gun mantlet or on the turret. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer for metal, otherwise paint holds badly on a smooth turned surface.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
