An injection-molded plastic model of the wheeled industrial tractor Standard N in the 1940/42 production form, in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. It is a typically detailed kit from this brand with fine plastic molding and a well-developed engine and chassis. The boxing also contains photo-etched sheet for the finest details and several marking options.
The Standard N was a wheeled tractor of the Second World War period that found its place in industrial, supply and handling work - on airfields, in factories and in rear-area service. Towing tractors of this type proved themselves thanks to their simple and durable construction; besides ordinary work they also served to move equipment and to tow trailers and machinery. The Mod.1940/42 form corresponds to the wartime production version.
Glue the plastic parts with modeling cement for plastic; bond the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint and shade the engine, the chassis and the wheels before closing things up and completing the assembly. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush in thin coats; the working character of the tractor is underlined by washes into the recesses and by mud, dust and oil effects with pigments. Wheels assembled from several parts allow the tires to be rendered faithfully.
