A photo-etched detail set in 1:35 for the M3A3 Stuart light tank completes a plastic kit with fine metal components that an injection mold cannot capture.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Italian brand Royal Model brings photo-etched components and resin castings for building the American M3A3 Stuart light tank. It is a matter of equipping a finished plastic kit: grilles, holds, tool brackets and other thin-walled elements are replaced with metal that has a realistic thickness. You will not find the tank itself in the package.
The late version of the Stuart family was given an all-welded body with a sloped front and widened sides, so the old sponsons disappeared. The turret took over the shape from the M5A1 type including the rear box for a radio set. The armament stayed with the 37 mm gun and a radial engine took care of the drive. The cars served with French, British and Chinese units, where they carried the designation Stuart V, and after the war they kept going in the armies of South America and Asia.
Bend the brass sheet in a bending tool or between two blades, so that the edges are sharp and straight. Metal is joined with cyanoacrylate glue, not with glue for plastic; degrease the surface before applying it. A thin layer of primer belongs on bare brass, otherwise paint will not hold on the smooth surface.
The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
