StuG III crew, Russia 1943 is a resin figure set in 1:35 scale from Royal Model for completing models of German self-propelled guns.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin figure set in 1:35 scale depicts German crewmen from the StuG III self-propelled gun on the Eastern Front in 1943. The set is supplied as resin castings intended for assembly, cleaning up and painting, and it serves to bring the scene around a vehicle model to life and round it out. It is not a model of the vehicle but an additional figure set.
The StuG III was among the most widespread German assault guns and tank destroyers of the Second World War. Its crews wore characteristic field uniforms and, as members of the artillery, often special uniforms too. The figures capture the typical poses of crewmen leaning out of the vehicle, as were common during moves on the Eastern Front in 1943.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them to the vehicle model. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and bend any etched elements with tweezers. After the primer coat, build the colors of the uniforms up in layers and work the skin out with glazes and oils. Seat the figures in the hatches so that they follow the model naturally.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The vehicle model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
