An add-on set of individual plastic track links of the OMSh type in the early version for tanks of the T-54 series in 1:35 scale from MiniArt (Ukraine). It is not a vehicle model but a detailed replacement for the running gear tracks: each link is assembled separately, so the finished track faithfully follows the sag over the road wheels and the idler wheel. The set gives a tank model a realistic look to the track tread.
The early type OMSh track links correspond to the version of track used on the medium tanks of the T-54 series. Tracks assembled from individual links look more natural than one-piece rubber band tracks, because they keep the characteristic sag between the wheels. The set is intended to complete a matching tank kit in the same scale.
Cut the links carefully off the sprue and clean them up, and assemble them into a continuous track while it is still workable, so that it sits on the wheels with a realistic sag. Glue with liquid cement and let the track set in place. Paint the tracks in a steel shade, add rust and above all dust and mud pigments; the metallic sheen on the contact surfaces comes from polishing once dry.
It is an add-on track set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
