A pair of resin figures of the Italian cavalry of Lodi in 1:35 scale captures an officer and a non-commissioned officer with the rank of maresciallo.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two resin figures represent members of an Italian cavalry regiment linked with the town of Lodi, in graded ranks. The sculpting puts the emphasis on the drape of the uniform and on the stance, so together they form a natural scene even without further additions. Resin allows a finer undercut of the cloth and crisper edges of the equipment than an injection mold permits.
Italian cavalry regiments kept their own traditions, equipment and pride in their origin even in the twentieth century. During the Second World War a number of them moved to motorized or armored reconnaissance, and their members appeared alongside armored cars and light tankettes. The rank of maresciallo belongs in the Italian army to the non-commissioned corps and stands highest in it, which the marking on the sleeve reflected.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the remains of release agent disappear. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and sand the surface, with your airways protected while sanding. Join the parts with cyanoacrylate glue and fill any gaps with two-part modeling compound. Build the skin from a darker tone toward a lighter one.
The figures arrive unassembled and unpainted.
