MiniArt 1:35 U.S. 101st Airborne Division, Normandy 1944 - Special Edition is a special edition of plastic figures of American paratroopers with prisoners for military dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains five plastic figures in 1:35 scale capturing a scene from Normandy in 1944: two American paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division with captured German soldiers. It is a special edition to which MiniArt has added further weapons and equipment compared with the basic release. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
On the night before 6 June 1944 the 101st Airborne Division began its drop over Normandy as part of Operation Overlord. Despite bad weather and enemy fire the scattered units formed up and played a key part in the opening hours of the landings. The set illustrates an everyday moment after the drop, the securing of prisoners.
Clean the flash off the parts, fill the seams and lay down a base coat of primer. The uniforms and the skin come out well with layering and a light accent on the folds; the equipment can be fine-tuned with filters and washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
