An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale by MiniArt. It depicts American soldiers, engineers searching for mines with portable mine detectors of the Second World War period. The set contains four figures together with the detection equipment, weapons and small items of kit.
Mine clearance squads moved ahead of the main forces and searched for antipersonnel and anti-tank mines with portable electromagnetic detectors. The work called for concentration and calm; the soldiers often worked kneeling or bent over, which is reflected in the poses of the figures.
Join the parts with liquid cement for plastic and clean up the seams gently. Uniforms in shades of olive and khaki stand out well in acrylic paints; finish the faces and equipment with washes. Cut the small accessories off carefully, as they are fragile.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
