This product is neither a kit nor a finished model: it is a set of photo-etched metal parts from the Polish manufacturer Aber for refining the upper armor surfaces of the hull of models of the light German half-track carrier Sd.Kfz. 250 in the late simplified Neu version in 1:35 scale.
The Sd.Kfz. 250 Neu was the simplified production variant from 1943 with less faceted armor. The photo-etched parts replace or supplement the upper armor surfaces with thin metal of the correct edge thickness, with fine rivets and clamps that injection-molded plastic cannot capture faithfully. The result is a more realistic look for the open hull.
Glue the photo-etched sheet with super glue (cyanoacrylate); larger areas can be soldered for strength. Make the bends in a photo-etch bending tool. Degrease the metal before painting and coat it with a primer. The set is more demanding and is intended for experienced modelers.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
