1:35 URBAN TRAVELLERS from MiniArt is a plastic set of four civilian figures on the move, made for urban scenes in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of four plastic figures captures present-day civilians on the move through a city: someone hurrying with a suitcase, a figure with a coffee cup or simply a pedestrian out walking. The 1:35 scale matches the usual military and civilian vehicles, so the figures can be worked into most dioramas. MiniArt places them in its civilian line, which complements models of streetcars, vans and passenger cars.
Civilian figures solve a problem every scene builder knows: equipment on its own has neither scale nor action. A pedestrian at a crossing, a traveler with a suitcase or a couple at a shop window immediately give away the size of a vehicle and supply the scene with a story. Modern clothing moreover allows you to work with bolder colors than a military scene will stand.
Glue the luggage and the small accessories on only after the figure is painted, otherwise the shaded places will be hard to reach. Build denim up from a mid blue and lighten it at the knees and the seat, while jackets are better left in a saturated tone with a crisp transition at the edges. Finish the faces with glazes and take care with the eyes: in this scale a suggestion is enough, not a drawn pupil. Place the figures so that they do not all look in the same direction.
