Voyager Model WWII German MG42 Ammo Boxes is a photo-etched brass set of German ammunition belt boxes for the MG42 machine gun in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory photo-etched set of thin brass, not a stand-alone model. It contains parts for building the German sheet metal boxes (Patronenkasten) for the ammunition belts of the MG42 machine gun in 1:35 scale. The set brings vehicle interiors, trench scenes and infantry vignettes to life with crisp, finely profiled detail.
The MG42 was a general-purpose machine gun of 7.92 mm, famous for its high rate of fire and used by the German army during the Second World War. The belts of ammunition were carried and stored in the characteristic sheet metal boxes with a hinged lid and a bail handle, of the kind this set reproduces.
Nip the parts out with a sharp knife and make the bends over a bending tool or a ruler, so that the edges of the boxes come out straight. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A dark primer is recommended, then field gray or rust and shading to bring out the pressed edges.
This is an accessory set, not a stand-alone model. The weapon, figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
