This is a photo-etched detail set from the brand Voyager Model, not a kit of a tank. It holds fine photo-etched fenders that replace the thicker plastic parts and bring a realistically thin profile. The set is intended for models of the Soviet JS-2 (IS-2) heavy tank in 1:35 scale and makes it possible to imitate battle damage or bends in the fenders faithfully as well. The set is intended for the Tamiya 35289 kit.
The JS-2 (IS-2) was a Soviet heavy tank of the Second World War named after Joseph Stalin. Armed with a mighty gun of 122 mm caliber, it served for breaking through fortifications and for fighting the heavy German tanks. It was committed from 1944 on and became a symbol of Soviet armored strength in the closing phase of the war.
Bend the photo-etched fenders over a sharp edge; dents and bends for a worn effect can be shaped with tweezers. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for bonding, and degrease the metal and prime it before painting.
This is a detail accessory set. The model of the tank itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
