Green oak leaves for scenes from the growing season, 1:35 scale. The shape of the blade is produced by laser burning, and the color corresponds to a leaf in full strength rather than a fallen one.

The shade of the growth gives away the season faster than anything else. A deep green crown and green growth at the foot of a wall place a scene between May and September, that is in the months in which most of the campaigns depicted fall. A brown variant of the same leaf would, by contrast, shift the whole setting into autumn.
The technology stays the same as with the dry variant: the beam cuts the outline of the blade out, with its rounded lobes. What differs is the color, which in this set is green. The practical consequence is fundamental, because a green leaf must not be toned with the brown filters with which autumn terrain is commonly evened out.
A deep color has one weakness that brown leaves do not: every drop of glossy glue shows on it as a glassy mark. It helps to glue from the back, to apply the fixative in a thin coat and to mist the finished area with matte varnish, which reliably evens the shiny places out.
Within the family of green sets the manufacturer makes several species, and mixing them gives a more varied crown. The green and the dry variants can be combined on a single tree if the scene is to capture the turn of summer into autumn.
