The ZSU-23-4 Shilka is a Soviet self-propelled anti-aircraft system introduced in the 1960s. On a tracked chassis it carries a rotating turret with four automatic 23 mm AZP-23 cannons and a tracking radar, which allows firing even in reduced visibility. The V1 version represents one of the upgrades. The Shilka spread to a number of armed forces and was used in many conflicts, where it worked against low-flying targets and against ground targets alike.
Assemble the individual track links patiently and finish and paint the running gear before closing the hull. Leave the turret and the barrels free to move. After the base coat with an airbrush, apply a gloss coat and the decals and then bring out the panel lines with a wash. Mud and dust pigments on the running gear and the lower hull will give the vehicle convincing weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
