A plastic kit of the flagship galleon San Martín in 1:350 scale from Zvezda. The real subject is the ship of the commander of the Spanish Invincible Armada of 1588. The model is designed as a snap kit - the parts join by snapping together without glue, so it is accessible to beginners as well. In the package there are plastic parts and decals.
San Martín was the flagship galleon from which the Duke of Medina Sidonia commanded the expedition of the Spanish Invincible Armada against England in 1588. The ship was originally built for the Portuguese fleet and passed into Spanish service after the union of the crowns. She carried several dozen guns and a numerous crew and was among the largest vessels of the expedition.
Even though the model joins without glue, the joints can be secured with a drop of glue for safety. Bring the hull and the decks out with a dark wash into the joints. Assemble the masts, the yards, the rigging and the sails carefully - the rigging of a galleon is the most demanding part of the build, but also the most striking. The decorated elements of the stern and the sides will show to advantage after a dry brush. For display we recommend a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
