SOC-3 Seagull 1:350 from Trumpeter is a set of shipboard reconnaissance biplanes in a tiny scale, intended to complete models of warships.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains six miniature injection-molded models of the Curtiss SOC-3 Seagull shipboard reconnaissance aircraft in 1:350 scale. It is not a large stand-alone model but a group of small supporting aircraft meant to be placed on the decks and catapults of warship models in the same scale. The parts are plastic and clear parts for the canopies are included.
The Curtiss SOC Seagull was an American shipboard observation and reconnaissance biplane of the 1930s. It served with the US Navy, was launched by catapult from cruisers and battleships and was used during the Second World War as well. It was built in wheeled and float versions.
Given the tiny scale the parts are very small. Separate them from the sprues with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic in small drops. We recommend spraying a primer and painting with an airbrush before the final assembly. The typical finish was blue-gray over light gray.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
