A plastic kit of the fire service version of the UAZ-3909 cross-country vehicle in 1:43 scale from the maker Zvezda. The model captures a compact utility vehicle adapted for fire service work, and once assembled and painted it makes a striking collector's piece for a display case.
The UAZ-3909 is an all-metal cross-country van from the UAZ family, well liked for its simplicity and its ability to get through difficult terrain. In its fire service form it served to carry a response crew and equipment to places that were hard to reach, where larger vehicles could not go.
Bond the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Finish and paint the chassis and the interior before closing the body. Spraying with an airbrush and light weathering will raise the realism; a smooth, glossy surface and carefully applied decals suit the body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
