Reskit 1:48 — access ladder for the A-10A/C Thunderbolt II (Great Wall Hobby)

This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The package contains a 3D-printed resin access ladder for the attack aircraft A-10 Thunderbolt II in 1:48 scale, designed for the kit from Great Wall Hobby in both the A-10A and the A-10C versions. The aircraft itself is not included.

The A-10 is a single-seat anti-tank attack aircraft with a high-set cockpit, so an access ladder is an inseparable part of the picture during ground handling. On a model it works as a natural indicator of scale — the model suddenly looks like a real scene on the ramp rather than a display case object. It combines excellently with pilot or ground crew figures and with an open cockpit.

Use and fitting

• Separate the parts from the print supports with a fine cutter or a saw — the rungs and handrails are thin and fragile.
• Before painting, wash them in lukewarm water with detergent to remove any print resin residue.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); on larger surfaces the gel type helps.
• Sand wet and with respiratory protection — do not inhale resin dust.
• Primer, then paint; a ladder deserves weathering: worn edges, a fine wash and discreet dust pigments at the foot.
• Always dry-fit the part so its position against the fuselage of the base kit is right.
