A set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard holding detailed AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles in the early A and B versions, in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but external stores with which you replace the coarser plastic missiles from the box and raise the fidelity of your fighter model.
The AIM-120 AMRAAM is an American medium-range guided air-to-air missile with active radar homing. The A and B versions are the earlier builds, which became standard armament on a number of Western fighters. They replaced older semi-active radar homing missiles and made the fire-and-forget principle possible.
Clean any remains off the parts, bond them with super glue and add the photo-etched items. Treat the surface with a primer before painting; the decals give the missiles realistic markings. On this type the warhead can be assembled in either a training or a live configuration.
This is a modeling accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
