About product

Armament Me 109 E-3 to G-4 1:48 (Aber)

This is not an aircraft kit but a metal detail accessory. The set brings turned brass barrels for the armament of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the early and middle E-3 to G-4 versions, and it usually includes a pitot tube as well. The metal parts replace simplified plastic and give the model crisp detail.

The real subject

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the E to G versions formed the backbone of the German fighter force. Depending on the version it carried a combination of fuselage machine guns and an engine-mounted or wing-mounted cannon, so its barrels are conspicuous on models.

Fitting and tips

Cut off the plastic barrels, drill the holes and glue the turned parts in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fit the pitot tube only at the end of the build.

Who the accessory is for

  • Modelers of the Bf 109 in the E-3 to G-4 versions in 1:48 scale
  • Those who want faithful metal barrels
  • More experienced builders

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
