A detail set from Plusmodel in 1:48 scale for the C-47 Skytrain transport. The package holds six underwing racks and six supply containers that were hung under the wing for supply drops and airborne operations. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that gives the model its airborne configuration.
Racks with containers hung on them are a striking feature of transport C-47s supplying troops. The set therefore lets you build the aircraft in its cargo-drop version and brings an airfield or airborne diorama to life as well.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. The containers were often painted in bright colors according to the kind of load; a light wash that picks out the seams and folds brings the fabric bags to life.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is not an airplane model. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
