A detailed resin set from the Czech maker CMK for a 1:48 model of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter supersonic fighter in the F-104G and F-104J versions. It is not a kit but an add-on that replaces the plastic cockpit interior and adds a C2 ejection seat. The package holds resin and photo-etched parts; the seat harness is cast as one piece with the seat.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic fighter and interceptor with a distinctive thin trapezoidal wing, nicknamed the missile with a man in it because of its looks. The F-104G was the widely used multirole machine of the NATO states, while the F-104J served with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Aircraft with the C2 seat had an upward-firing ejection seat, which replaced the earlier downward-firing type.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue; bond the photo-etched parts with super glue as well. Paint and assemble the interior completely before you close the fuselage, and pick out the detail with a wash. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
