Quinta Studio interior F-104S/ASA-M Starfighter 1:48

An aftermarket set of pre-colored interior printed by 3D technology on decal paper from Quinta Studio. It is intended for plastic models of the late Italian F-104S/ASA-M Starfighter version in 1:48 scale and turns the cockpit into a detailed interior without photo-etch and laborious painting. The set is intended for the Kinetic kit.

The real subject

The F-104S/ASA-M was the last upgrade of the legendary supersonic Starfighter operated by the Italian Air Force. The upgrade reached the cockpit and the avionics as well, and the rendering of the instrument panel in this set matches that.

Use

• Cut the part out, lift it off the backing and lay it on the corresponding place in the cockpit.
• On curved areas gentle pressure and a little softening help. Note that softening here means water; products of the Micro Sol type will attack the printed resin.
• The detail can be brought out with a dark wash into the hollows.
