Open exhaust nozzles for the F-15E Strike Eagle late (F100-PW-229) in 1:48 scale from ReSkit. A 3D-printed resin detail set for the twin-engine tail of the GWH kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set, not a model on its own. These 3D-printed resin open exhaust nozzles from ReSkit replace the plastic parts in the GWH kit of the twin-engine F-15E Strike Eagle strike aircraft in its late version in 1:48 scale. The set covers the variant with Pratt and Whitney F100-PW-229 engines and contains nozzles for both powerplants.
The McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) F-15E Strike Eagle is a two-seat multirole strike aircraft derived from the F-15 fighter. Late versions use the more powerful Pratt and Whitney F100-PW-229 engines with their distinctive nozzle shape. Rendering both nozzles faithfully at the tail is essential for a convincing model of this machine.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut away the print supports and sand them with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Pick out the nozzle interiors with a dark wash and burnt metallic shades, and add fine heat staining to the outer skin according to how the aircraft was used.
This is an add-on set for more advanced modelers. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
