1:48 F-35 Lightning II pilot (scene 2) (3D Printed) is a printed figure of a contemporary fighter pilot in a standing pose.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed pilot figure in 1:48 scale, intended for a model of the contemporary F-35 Lightning II fighter or for a diorama around it. The pose differs from the first variant of the same pilot, so the two can be placed side by side in one scene without looking like two copies. The print captures the folds of the flight suit, the harness straps and the bulky helmet, which on this aircraft is far more voluminous than on older types.
The pilot of the F-35 wears a helmet with a built-in display that replaces the classic head-up display above the instrument panel. The helmet is therefore larger and more angular than in previous generations, and on the figure it is the main recognition feature. The flight suit and the anti-g trousers match contemporary equipment. That is exactly why the figure cannot be mistaken for the pilot of an older aircraft, even though the pose looks ordinary.
The printed parts are held by thin supports. Clip them off close to the figure and level the area with a scalpel. They are glued with super glue. Apply a primer before painting. Build the face up in layers from shadow to light and add the eyes last. Leave the helmet at a different level of gloss than the suit, the difference in surfaces brings the figure to life.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
