A 3D-printed detail accessory from Eduard in 1:48 scale. The set of precisely printed main landing gear legs for the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 replaces the plastic parts from the kit and adds finer detail and a more faithful shape. This is an accessory, not a standalone model - to use it you need the base plastic Fw 190A-8 kit from Eduard in 1:48 scale.
The landing gear legs are among the most visible parts of an aircraft model. 3D printing captures the hydraulic struts, the wiring and the locks more sharply than injection-molded plastic, without seam lines and with faithful geometry; the legs usually come together with the landing gear bay doors. The Fw 190A-8 was one of the main production versions of the successful German fighter known as the Würger of the Second World War, and its distinctive wide-track landing gear is worth dressing up with quality parts.
Separate the printed parts carefully from the print supports with a sharp knife and sand the cut faces smooth. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with cement for plastic. Wash the parts before painting, spray them with primer and apply the color with an airbrush in thin coats; protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory requires the matching base kit, which is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not part of the delivery either.
