Reskit GBU-39 SDB bombs and the BRU-61 carriage 1:48

A 3D-printed (resin) armament set from Reskit in 1:48 scale. It contains eight small GBU-39 SDB (Small Diameter Bomb) guided bombs and two four-place BRU-61 carriages on which the bombs are hung. Thanks to direct 3D printing the parts have crisp edges and faithful texture. It is not an aircraft model but accessory armament for modern combat aircraft.

The real subject

The GBU-39 SDB is a small guided bomb weighing around 110 kg with folding wings and a long reach. The BRU-61 carriage lets four of these bombs be carried on a single pylon, so an aircraft can take a larger number of precision weapons. The armament suits modern aircraft such as the F-15E, the F-16, the F-35 or bombers.

Usage tips

Wash any print resin residue off the resin parts, separate them from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding; apply a base coat (primer) before the clear coat.
