A German soldier at work in 1:48 scale is a resin figure from the Italian maker Royal Model meant to bring Second World War dioramas and display cases to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a Second World War soldier caught in a working, non-combat pose. The casting in good polyurethane resin offers finely made detail on the uniform, the field gear and the face. The set is conceived as an accessory for dioramas and scenes where it is to bring life to what is going on around a vehicle or a post. The figure is supplied as a kit of several parts.
Uniformed crews and ground personnel of the Wehrmacht spent a large part of their time on maintenance, preparation and logistics, not only in combat. It is precisely such quiet scenes that give a diorama a story and a human dimension. The pose of a soldier at work works well beside field workshops, posts and the support area behind combat vehicles.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the parting lines down with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a thin primer before painting; figures come out best with shading and dry-brushing, whether in acrylic or in oils.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
