This product is not an airplane kit but a small photo-etched accessory from Eduard. It is intended for a model of the Handley Page Hampden B Mk.I bomber in 1:48 scale from ICM, whose plastic seats are left without belts. The set is therefore a straightforward way of adding the missing detail.
Ordinary photo-etched belts in brass are springy and tend to straighten out partly after being bent. A steel etch, by contrast, keeps its shape: a belt once bent over the edge of the seat or draped loosely along the floor stays exactly where you put it. It is precisely the natural sag and slight waviness of a belt that makes an interior believable. The parts are also pre-colored, so the faithful colors of the straps and of the metal buckles are printed straight onto the etch and the belts do not have to be painted.
This is not an airplane model but an accessory for another kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
