A set of narrow transport tracks for the Tiger II heavy tank, known as the King Tiger, in 1:48 scale. It is a detail accessory made by 3D printing from firm resin that replaces the tracks from a plastic kit with a more faithful rendering. The set matches pattern 1 of the shape of the links.
The Tiger II was moved by rail on narrow transport tracks, because with its wide combat tracks it did not fit within the loading gauge. Fitting transport tracks therefore gives a model a distinctive transport look and suits scenes with rail transport above all. The set replaces the tracks only, not the whole model.
Wash the parts, separate them from the print supports and clean them up with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The tracks stand out best with a dark metallic base with a suggestion of rust and polished contact faces; finish them with a wash, a dry brush and dust pigments to suit the setting of the scene.
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
