A set of pre-painted photo-etched seat belts made of steel, intended for the pilot's seat of a model of the F-104S Starfighter fighter in 1:48 scale. Steel shapes better and holds a realistic sag of the belts more naturally than ordinary brass photo-etch. This is a detail set, not a model.
The F-104S was the Italian developed version of the supersonic Lockheed F-104 Starfighter fighter, built under license. In the interceptor role it was adapted to carry medium-range air-to-air missiles as well, and it served for a long time with the Italian Air Force.
Steel belts shape well, so form them to the seat and to the figure of the pilot before you glue them in. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The pre-printed colors do not have to be painted over; any cut edges can simply be touched in lightly.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
