Greek A-7 Corsair II pilot 1:48, standing position type 3 is an airman figure meant to complete a finished Corsair II model or an airfield scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings a pilot figure in flying kit, caught standing outside the cockpit. The name gives the Greek variant and the sequence designation type 3, which is how the stance and the turn of the body differ from the other poses in the same line. The figure suits a model standing on an airfield apron, a scene with ground crew, or it can serve as a scale reference beside the airframe.
The Vought A-7 Corsair II was a subsonic attack aircraft, derived in shape from the F-8 Crusader fighter. It entered service in the second half of the 1960s, carried a heavy bomb load and became known for the accuracy of its navigation and targeting equipment. The Greek Air Force operated Corsair IIs for several decades and was among their last European users, which makes this subject a rewarding alternative to the usual American color schemes.
Separate the figure from the casting block carefully, roughen the contact areas and match the height of the feet to the surface so it stands on its whole sole. Build the face up step by step, from the base flesh tone toward glazes and shadows, and bring out the flight suit with a dry brush on the edges of the folds. Set the straps, the helmet and the gloves apart with a contrasting shade. A matte clear coat at the end unifies the surface and hides the transitions between layers.
This is an accessory for a model; the aircraft itself is sold separately.
