A resin replacement Martin-Baker Mk.2 ejection seat in 1:48 scale, intended for the model of the Gloster Meteor F.8 jet fighter from Airfix. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory, a part that replaces the simplified plastic seat from the box in the cockpit. This version is supplied without seat belts – the seat alone. The accessory comes from the Czech brand Art Scale (ASK).
In the open glazed cockpit of a fighter the seat is the most visible thing of all. The plastic seat from a kit tends to be coarse and simplified in shape; a resin casting has sharp detail, the correct shape, the handles and the mechanism. The cockpit looks realistic at once, which makes this the most noticeable upgrade of a model with a glazed cockpit.
This is the version without belts: you get the seat by itself. It suits you if you already have the seat belts (photo-etched parts from another set, for example) or want to make them your own way. If you would rather have a finished solution with the belts, reach for the variant of the same seat with belts. Note that this version does not contain the belts.
