A resin detail set from CMK depicting the Junkers Jumo 004 jet engine for a model of the Messerschmitt Me 262A, the first jet fighter used in combat, in 1:48 scale. The accessory makes a striking display of the exposed power unit possible. It is not an aircraft model on its own.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe was the first jet fighter in the world to enter series service. It was powered by two Junkers Jumo 004 jet engines slung in nacelles under the wing and considerably outpaced the piston fighters of its day.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with your airways protected. If you want to display the engine exposed, count on open nacelle panels and on careful painting of the metal shades and the pipework.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
