Modern 200 liter oil drums 1:48 from Miniart is a plastic kit set of drums with decal lettering for bringing dioramas and vehicle scenes to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a plastic accessory set of injection-molded oil (fuel) drums of 200 liters in 1:48 scale. Sets of this kind contain drums to assemble and a decal sheet with lettering and markings. It is not a vehicle model but a scenic accessory that gives a diorama or a display case a believable backdrop - a fuel dump, a unit's rear area, a service bay.
The standard 200 liter steel drum with its rolling hoops is a universal container for fuel, oils and chemicals used by armies and in civilian life all over the world. Its appearance has barely changed for decades, which is why it suits modern as well as postwar scenes.
Glue the parts with plastic cement and clean up the seams along the hoops. A metallic look is helped along by primer, an opaque color and weathering effects afterwards - rust around the hoops and the base, streaks and dust applied with washes and pigments. Varying the shades and the degree of wear across the drums brings the scene to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
