This item is not a model of an aircraft, but a detailed 3D-printed resin set from Reskit for the plastic P-47D Thunderbolt kit in 1:48 scale from Tamiya (the 11/25/30 subversions). The package offers a fully rendered Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine and three propeller variants to go with it, from which you choose according to the machine you are building. The rendering is done with closed engine cowlings, that is for a model with a closed-up nose, where the accurate propeller and the front of the engine show.
The famous R-2800 Double Wasp was an eighteen-cylinder twin-row radial engine of over two thousand horsepower, one of the best piston aircraft engines ever. It was exactly this that gave the Thunderbolt its renowned performance at high altitude and its toughness.
Carefully separate the parts from their supports, wash them in warm soapy water and clean them up; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The engine comes out well with a dry brush over a dark base; unify the propeller blades and add the warning stripes at the tips.
This is an accessory for a model: the package contains neither the aircraft kit nor glue or paints.
