The set of the ZOOM line from Eduard is a simplified color photo-etched set aimed at the most visible features of the cockpit of a model of the P-47M Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. It contains pre-printed self-adhesive parts, above all a color instrument panel, side panels and seat belts. ZOOM is a selection from a larger color photo-etched set and concentrates on a quick, striking improvement. It is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory.
The Republic P-47M Thunderbolt was the high-speed version of the massive American fighter of the end of the Second World War. It was powered by an uprated Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine and was deployed above all against German V-1 flying bombs and fighters. The roomy cockpit lets a detail set stand out well.
The pre-printed photo-etched parts are self-adhesive. Degrease the surfaces before sticking them on and separate the parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat. The edges can be darkened finely and the surface unified with matte varnish.
This is a detail accessory for the matching kit in 1:48 scale; the airplane model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
