A 3D-printed set from Reskit containing two Soviet R-98 air-to-air guided missiles in the MR and MT forms in 1:48 scale. The set serves to complete the armament of models of Soviet interceptors and adds faithfully rendered missiles. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for more experienced modelers.
The R-98 (NATO code AA-3 Anab) was a Soviet medium-range air-to-air guided missile, the main armament of Cold War interceptors such as the Sukhoi Su-11, the Su-15 and the Yakovlev Yak-28P. The missiles were made in two guidance forms: the MR version with semi-active radar guidance and the MT version with infrared (heat) guidance, and they were usually carried as a pair.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use respiratory protection when sanding. Spray the missiles and pick the detail out lightly, and take care to hang them correctly on the pylons.
This is an add-on 3D-printed armament set, not the model itself. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
