The SmartPack line gathers the key photo-etched parts into a single package, with small resin items added where appropriate, so that the modeler gets a thorough improvement in one go. It is an aftermarket accessory for detailing, not a kit in its own right.
The M4 Sherman was the most widespread American medium tank of the Second World War, put to use by the Allies on every front. Fine photo-etched parts such as screens, lifting eyes, brackets and tools markedly raise the level of detail over the basic plastic.
Cut the photo-etched parts out of the fret, bend them in a bender or along the scored edge and fix them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wash any resin parts free of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Working with photo-etch calls for patience, but the result lifts the realism of the model considerably. The parts are shaped for the Tamiya kit.
This is an accessory for a build; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
