Turned metal 122 mm M-30 barrel for the SU-122 in 1:48 scale from Aber. A precise metal replacement for the plastic barrel on models of the Soviet SU-122 self-propelled gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel in 1:48 scale from the production of the Polish firm Aber. It is not a model but an accessory replacing the plastic barrel of a kit. The metal version has a perfectly round profile with no glue seam and a precisely shaped muzzle, which on the massive howitzer barrel of the SU-122 markedly raises realism.
The 122 mm M-30 howitzer was a widespread Soviet artillery weapon of the Second World War. Adapted for a self-propelled mounting, it formed the main armament of the SU-122 assault self-propelled gun, built on the chassis of the T-34 tank and intended for direct fire support.
Cut off the original plastic barrel and clean up the seat, then fit the metal one and fix it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before gluing and use a primer suitable for metal. The sturdy barrel comes into its own with the dust and mud effects typical of the Eastern Front.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
