The decal set Spitfires of Czechoslovak pilots in the RAF, Mk.I/II in 1:48 scale from DK Decals - wet decals with the markings and camouflage schemes for early Spitfires. It is not a model but a set of decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of wet (water-slide) decals, not a model of the aircraft. It contains markings and camouflage schemes for Supermarine Spitfire fighters of the early Mk.I and Mk.II versions as flown in the Second World War by Czechoslovak pilots in the ranks of the Royal Air Force (RAF). The set is issued by the Czech maker DK Decals and offers a larger number of variants of particular machines. The base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Spitfire is among the icons of the Battle of Britain. After the occupation of Czechoslovakia, hundreds of airmen left for abroad and many of them joined the fighting of the RAF, where Czechoslovak fighter squadrons came into being (among them the 310th, the 312th and the 313rd). The early Mk.I and Mk.II versions were powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and carried machine gun armament.
For modelers who build early Spitfires in 1:48 scale and want to build them as the machines of Czechoslovak pilots in the RAF.
This is a decal set with markings, not a model. The base kit and the paints have to be obtained separately.
