Eduard 1:35 Pz.Kpfw. III / Pz.Kpfw. IV — winter tracks (3D print) is a set of 3D-printed tracks as a replacement for the tracks from the kit. It is not a model, but an accessory for a tank kit.

A detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard (Obrnice near Most), one of the leading names in world aftermarket. It is not a tank model, but a complete set of replacement tracks for models of the German Pz.Kpfw. III and Pz.Kpfw. IV tanks in 1:35 scale. The tracks are 3D printed and replace those that come with the base kit.
Tracks from a kit tend to be either rubber-band type (one piece, hard to paint and poor at holding their shape) or link-by-link from dozens of parts (a laborious and lengthy build). 3D-printed tracks combine the best of both: they have sharp detail, the correct sag over the road wheels and are made up of one or a few parts. Because the track forms a large and clearly visible area on a tank, good tracks noticeably raise the realism of the whole model — without a nightmare of a build.
These are the wider winter tracks for the Eastern Front (the Winterketten). German tanks were given them so that in snow and churned-up ground the contact area would grow, the pressure on the ground would drop and the vehicle would not bog down so readily. Visually they are strikingly wider than ordinary summer tracks and give the model an unmistakably eastern winter character.
Carefully separate the parts from the print supports and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit on the running gear of your particular kit before fitting them. For a faithful result, bring the tracks out with a dark wash and tune the mud with pigments.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a stand-alone model. The base tank kit, glue, paints and pigments are not included in the package.
