About product

U.S. fuel drop tanks and bombs 1:48 (MiniArt)

This accessory set brings American drop tanks and aerial bombs in 1:48 scale. It is injection-molded plastic supplemented with photo-etched parts and a decal sheet, which lets you arm or vary the external stores of American aircraft of the Second World War and of later periods. The set serves as equipment under the wings and the fuselage; it is not a standalone model of an aircraft.

Use

  • Glue the parts with modeling cement for plastic, and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate.
  • Cut the photo-etched parts off carefully and shape them as the instructions require.
  • Paint the tanks and the bombs in the appropriate shades and add the decal markings from the set.
  • Use a gloss varnish before the decals and a matte one afterwards to even the surface out.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of American aircraft in 1:48 who want to enrich the underwing loads.
  • Modelers of dioramas of air bases and ammunition dumps.
  • Collectors who like to combine a kit with supplementary equipment.

The set is an accessory, not a standalone model. It does not contain paints, glue or the base aircraft. Follow the instructions enclosed.
