Quinta Studio Vultee Mk.II Vengeance Interior (1:48)

A colored 3D-printed interior set on decal paper for a model of the Vultee Vengeance (Mk.II) dive bomber. This is the small version, which covers the main visible parts of the cockpit with relief 3D printing and pre-printed colors, so the instrument panel and the consoles gain detail without painting. The parts are applied as a wet decal. It is not an aircraft model but an interior accessory for a kit under construction.

The real subject

The Vultee A-31/A-35 Vengeance was an American single-engined dive bomber of the Second World War, widely used by British and Australian forces in Southeast Asia under the name Vengeance. A well-rendered interior brings the two-seat cockpit in particular to life.

Use

• Cut the part out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it off the backing.
• Settle the relief decal onto the part and press it gently with a soft cloth.
• Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they attack the printed resin.
• Bring out the reflections of the instruments with a drop of gloss varnish once it is dry.
