Turned metal barrels of 35.6 cm caliber (14 inch, L/45) for the Kongo and Fuso classes (1:700) replace the main-caliber plastic barrels of Japanese battleships with a set of twelve pieces with faithful muzzles.

This is not a ship model but a set of twelve turned metal gun barrels of 35.6 cm caliber (14 inch, length L/45) for the main armament of the Japanese battleships of the Kongo and Fuso classes in 1:700 scale. The metal barrels are perfectly straight, have clean bores and replace the plastic pieces from the kit, which tend to be bent and to carry a seam.
The 35.6 cm L/45 gun made up the main armament of the fast battleships of the Kongo class and of the older battleships of the Fuso class in the Imperial Japanese Navy. The set of twelve barrels covers a full ship's battery of six twin turrets.
Cut off the plastic barrels and, if need be, carefully redrill the openings in the turrets. Fit the metal barrel and secure it with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer for metal, otherwise the paint will not hold well.
The ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
