This injection-molded plastic kit from the German manufacturer Revell captures the American amphibious assault ship of the Wasp class in 1:700 scale. The model is conceived as a waterline version and suits every collection of modern warships. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The ships of the Wasp class are large American amphibious assault ships which carry helicopters and aircraft with a short or vertical takeoff, for instance the AV-8B Harrier II or the F-35B Lightning II, together with assault troops and equipment. They serve as a floating base for landing the Marine Corps by means of helicopters and landing craft.
We recommend painting the deck and the superstructure separately before the final assembly. Use a thin cement for plastic and apply a primer before the finish. For the flight deck an airbrush and fine masking of the markings come in handy. The small aircraft on the deck will stand out after a dry brush and light weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
