This accessory is not a kit but a universal photo-etched railing set from the Polish manufacturer Aber for models of warships in 1:700 scale. The railings are etched from thin brass sheet, and thanks to their universal design they can be used across different vessels.

What it is for

Deck railings are one of the most conspicuous elements of a ship's silhouette. Etched brass replaces coarse or missing plastic railings and provides the correct scale thickness, which plastic cannot reach.

Use

• Cut the railings from the fret and shape them to the outline of the deck.
• Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in short sections.
• Degrease the brass before painting and apply a primer.
